The story of Joby starts in 2005, when we were founded by San Francisco Bay Area engineer and entrepreneur JoeBen Bevirt. Our first product, the infamous GorillaPod, was released the following year to immediate fanfare. The lightweight and flexible GorillaPod revolutionized camera support and reflects what Joby has always represented: creating tools that are functional and innovative, while being playful and easy to use.
